We are happy to announce a new monthly dinner-lecture series at the Black Powder Tavern to benefit the Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund. Each lecture will be on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
PLEASE ARRIVE BY 5:15pm TO AVOID PARKING ISSUES.
All beverages are included with the exception of alcoholic beverages which can be purchased for an additional charge. The all-inclusive price includes the dinner buffet, non-alcoholic beverages, gratuity, taxes, the lecture, and a donation to the Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund. We’ll be serving a special buffet dinner with dishes reminiscent of those served during colonial times in our area. Dinner will be served around 5:45pm
The price of the lecture is $53.99 per person. You Must make your reservation now as there is limited seating.
Each lecture will be Revolutionary War themed and will begin after dinner in the upstairs seating area. Feel free to bring your drink with you but there will be no Wait Staff Service upstairs. You must settle your bill for any alcohol beverages before you go to the lecture room. Speakers may bring books along to sign and sell after each lecture so make sure to purchase one before you leave.

Join us on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026 as we welcome Arch Hunter as he presents “How The Colonies Won The Revolution”. The American Revolution often is thought of as George Washington, Breed’s Hill, Saratoga, Valley Forge, the French and Yorktown – but our winning the Revolution has so many other important parts that are often overlooked or simply ignored! How did the colonies declare war on their country, the superpower of the day, without a military, weapons, trained officers or navy and win? Many officers, battles in the South, and other countries helped in our pursuit of freedom for Great Britain. So many important aspects of the Revolution were all parts of our Revolution to be the first successful revolution in the history of the world.
About Arch Hunter:
Arch Hunter has spent most of his life in the Valley Forge area. He has been connected to Founding Forward since 1993, first as a teacher program participant and now serving as one of the Graduate Programs Directors. He taught in public school for 25 years and also worked as a curriculum developer. Arch serves on the Board of Directors of the Paoli Battlefield, as well as giving lectures to many groups and leading historical tours throughout the East Coast. Arch hosts three weekly radio programs on American history. Arch is an avid sports fan and loves to play golf. He holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in education, and a master’s degree in theology. To avoid the cold winter, he now spends several months a year in Florida. He and his wife Melissa have twin sons and live in Collegeville, PA.
