Join us on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6pm at Workhorse Brewing Company to learn more about the 9th bloodiest battle fought in the revolutionary war, close to here and sometimes referred to as the Paoli Massacre. Learn how the continentals under the command of Anthony Wayne survived this battle to rejoin George Washington army and fight Germantown, Whitemarsh, Matson’s Ford, and encamp in Valley Forge that winter. You have heard of Remember 9-1-1 or Remember Pearl Harbor, but the Battle of Paoli was the first use of the “Remember…:” phrase in American History.
Learn about a soldier who was stabbed 46 times and left for dead, but a quaker found him a day later and took him to a hospital where lived. Learn about the savage fighting that took place here where men were listed as mutilated, and cut to pieces.
