Battlefield Cleanup Event

Park Day

April 1, 2017

Volunteer at sites nationwide

Join us to maintain parks nationwide!

This annual event brings history enthusiasts together in an effort to help keep our nation’s heritage not only preserved, but pristine.

Since 1996, the Civil War Trust has sponsored Park Day, an annual hands-on preservation event to help Civil War — and now Revolutionary War — battlefields and historic sites take on maintenance projects large and small. Activities are chosen by each participating site to meet their own particular needs and can range from raking leaves and hauling trash to painting signs and trail buildings.

  5. Hello, last year I was at your timeline event. I thought it was nice to see soldiers portraying all wars. I notice the Korean War and the Vietnam War had signs but no reenactors in period uniforms. I would like to participate in this event as a Vietnam soldier 25th Inf. Div. I have weapons, gear and uniforms that I can bring to show the public. Please e-mail on who I would need to speak to.
